A-Force members She-Hulk, Captain Marvel, and Dazzler have found themselves sent back in time to the testing site for first Gamma bomb.
The very bomb that created the Hulk.
With Sirens blaring, Jennifer recognized the time and place. With mere seconds left, Jennifer grabbed her cousin and (the then very young) Rick Jones and hurled them out of the blast radius.
The Gamma bomb went off, and all three of the time-travelling heroes were caught in its mighty blast.
She-Hulk, sacrificing herself, covered Dazzler and Captain Marvel during the blast.
But it did not kill her.
Instead, it was making her bigger, stronger, and angrier. Plus, due to the Gamma radiation already in her body, the blast was somehow filtering a sampling of She-Hulk's immense power into the other members of A-Force, causing them to transform as well.
They were now the strongest human beings on Earth. A real force to be reckoned with.
