Max had previously only sent similar sized animals through his transportation portals, but he was satisfied with the initial tests and had convinced himself that this invention was already perfect!
He became less convinced of this after he sent himself and his assistant Anja through the process. Anja had taken on all of his huge, muscular proportions and he was now the pathetic size of his previously frail assistant.
